Job Description:
Overview:
· This UX Researcher will be working with and supporting the K-C North America and Business and HCD (Human Centered Design) teams.
· Nice to have – UX/Design Research experience working for the CPG (Consumer Packaging Goods) Organization(s).
· Having good experience and/or knowledge of following products will be an added advantage:
o Data and Analytics
o Advanced Analytics
o GenAI
o Sales Management
o Trade Promotion Management
o Good understanding of PowerBI products/dashboards
Key Accountabilities:
· Conduct UX/Design research at all stages from discovery to validation, using appropriate research methods to understand the users and identify their experience, behaviors, pains, challenges, frictions, and expectations.
· Create User Personas, Journey Maps.
· Leverage analytics and user testing tools (like UserTesting.com, Google Analytics, Fullstory, Heatmaps etc.) and techniques to drive the design direction and prioritization based on right data, information and insights.
· Planning and executing the research agenda that includes multiple methods, including triangulating data to validate insights with research goals in mind.
· Understand and apply the right quantitative and qualitative research methods.
· Guide stakeholders to translate the research insights into opportunities and right design decisions.
· Proactively monitor and analyze research, data, and trends from internal sources, and industry insights to inform and optimize the overall research and product design approach.
· Collaborate to define intent, development, testing, and refinement of UX research, designs and prototypes.
· Must be able to plan, conduct and deliver the UX/Design research projects in Agile environment.
Key Skills & Experience:
· Strong knowledge and hand on working experience of the UX/Design research, research mythologies, research standards & best practices.
· Proven track record of working and collaborating with various stakeholders, including business, designers, researchers, strategists, product managers, and tech partners.
· Sound understanding of the difference between Design Research and Market Research and have experience collaborating on initiatives between these teams.
· Effectively manage multiple stakeholders' interests, priorities, and expectations and lead teams to craft a rigorous and relevant research agenda.
· Experience guiding teams to employ the best research methods for the problem, employing strategies to address stakeholder push back.
· Distill findings into clearly articulated and actionable insights that stakeholders can leverage.
· Present research plans, research findings to various audiences, from designers to business stakeholders with an excellent story telling skills.
· Guide teams on how best to understand and apply research findings effectively.
· Create energy and momentum in research by sharing early and often.
· Nice to have – UX/Design Research working experience in CPG (Consumer Packaging Goods) Company.
· Experience with mentoring junior researchers.
Key Qualifications & Bachelor's degree
· 5+ years of experience leading the end-to-end User Experience (UX) Research and Design Research projects.
· Managing end to end Research project planning, execution, and deliverables.
· Deep knowledge and hands on experience of usability testing and user experience research using tools like UserTesting.com, Fullstory, Google Analytics etc.)
· Self-motivated to keep up with industry UX/Design research best practices, trends & techniques, disseminating information across the organization.
· Deep knowledge and experience of the Human Centered Design, Design Thinking, UX/ Design research.
· Verbal and written fluency in English is mandatory.
